About the owner
Jacob Dunaway, majored at University of Tennessee horticulture/design in 1999. He owned and operated his first lawn care and landscaping business, Pagoda Lawn & Landscape until 2004. In May of 2005 Native Design & Hardscape came into fruition.
Since its inception, Jacob has thrived off of creating and installing spaces that are not only beautiful to the eye, but also enjoyable to be in.
He believes there is a sense of peace that is gained from being outdoors. In the hectic world we live in having an enjoyable space outside allows a respite from everyday stress.
Jacob has worked to grow the company from its beginnings as one-man-with-a-truck to over 50 employees and over 20 trucks. From pridefully working in the backyard of his mother-in-law's house to installing landscapes at his college alma mater, Jacob has worked hard to build Native Design & Hardscape and it's reputation as Knoxville's premier pool, hardscape, and landscape company.
